Examples of Exam Items

Exam items are fill-in the blank and short answer, as shown below.  Short answers must truly be short and to the point – writing more often hurts you.  For most items I will give you more room to write than the examples here - these are screen shots from previous exams.

The best way to study is to take each major term or concept and learn to quickly and concisely define it.  Use the PowerPoint lecture presentations to give the lecture to yourself; know them well enough to easily talk through each concept.

Read the text for a more broad overview of each area, and to get more detail on any term / concept.

You may well have items that address the weekly readings.
