They think "That neighborhood is dangerous, so I might get killed if I go there."
7. Some people believe that sexual orientation is genetic, because random samples of twins who are raised in separate homes are more likely to have the same sexual orientation than non-twins raised in the exact same home.
8. When someone commits a murder, the murderer's parents usually refuse to believe the he is guilty because it would be too upsetting.
9. For many years, women have firmly accepted the belief that all men cheat. It hasn't been proven that all men have or will cheat, but its just widely assumed to be true.
10. Some people believe that homosexuality is something that people choose with their free will, because it is part of their religion.
11. Some nurses claim they can pass their hand over a patient and feel their energy field that surrounds their body. A 12 year old girl blind folded 20 nurses who said they had this ability. The girl had the nurses hold out both hands, then she placed her hand 2 inches away from one of the nurses hand. The nurses had to use their ability to detect the energy field to guess which hand the girl was near. The nurse's guessed correctly 50% of the time. The girl concluded that the nurses were not able to detect her energy field.
12. Some people think that we are not related to other Apes and primates, because they don't like the idea that human beings are not unique and special.

17. You see that your lawn is brown and dry so you conclude that your son has not been watering it while you were away. Grass that is not watered turns brown and dry, and your grass is brown and dry. Therefore, it must not have been watered.
