Form of the Benefit
Cash benefits provided in varying amounts determined by wages earned during a “base period”.
Payments replace between 50-70% of the individual’s average weekly pretax wage up to the state maximum.
States provide benefits up to 26 weeks and federal extend it 23 additional weeks.
