2nd Annual Robert H. Costa
Memorial Lecture

On March 23rd, 2007 the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics held the first Robert H. Costa Memorial Lecture to honor Robert H. Costa (1957-2006) who passed away after a heroic battle with cancer. The first Robert H. Costa memorial lecture was given by Dr. James Darnell, Jr., Rockefeller University, who Rob joined in 1985 as a postdoctoral student. Rob made many important contributions in the field of cancer biology and was a leading authority in the molecular analysis of liver and cell proliferation.

The second Annual Robert H. Costa Memorial Lecture will be held on March 26, 2008 by Dr. Kenneth S. Zaret, Fox Chase Cancer Center.

The lecture will be titled "Epigenetic Control by a Pioneer Transcription Factor, FoxA". We welcome you in joining us in honoring the achievements of Robert H. Costa.
