AND OTHER SPECIALIZED
SERVICES

The Clinical Performance Center at UIC works with clients large
and small, nationally and internationally. The Center has

• Collaborated with the
  National Board of
  Medical Examiners in the development of their
  planned standardized
  patient examination.
• Worked with the
  Educational Commission
  for Foreign Medical
  Graduates (ECFMG) in developing their Clinical
  Practice Exam (CPX),
  another examination
  based on the standardized clinical encounter model.
• Joined with the ECFMG to establish the first standardized
  patient examination in Madrid, Spain.
• Conducted standardized patient workshops for the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Karachi, Pakistan, under the auspices of the World Health Organization.

The Clinical Performance Center can

• Bring standardized patients and practical instructors to a location convenient to you.
• Help you construct cases and evaluation instruments for simulated encounters.
• Assist you in setting up your own clinical performance center.
• Provide training, enrichment or expert consultation to your existing standardized patient program.
• Rent our facilities and provide logistical support and videotaping for a simulated encounter or other project of your own.
