Craniofacial Cleft

Recognizing the multiple and complex needs of our patients, our center fosters the team approach for cleft and craniofacial care, with medical and dental specialists and allied health professionals working together to provide comprehensive care in a single location. Our entire team cooperates to help patients achieve functional, cosmetic, and psychosocial normalcy. Our goal is to provide an improved quality of life for each of our patients.

Since its founding in 1949, our center has fostered the team approach to care. Patients' first visit will include a comprehensive evaluation by our team of medical and dental specialists and allied health professionals. This visit may include a physical examination and 2- and 3-dimensional digital X-rays and photographs, among other tests. The team then meets in conference to develop both a short- and long-term care plan. These treatment plans are then presented to the patient and their family.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about the UI Health Craniofacial Center, our comprehensive multi-disciplinary team, and the many services we provide.
