This is an exciting time for cardiology in general and for the Cardiology Section at UIC in particular. Fellowship

Fellowship Program Overview
Our commitment to education is reflected in the training provided to our fellows, residents and students. This is an exciting time for cardiology in general and for the Cardiology Section at UIC in particular. We have great confidence that the supportive environment provided by the University and Hospital administration and the leadership within the Department of Medicine will allow us to fulfill a very optimistic mission: To define the highest clinical, educational and research standards in our profession.

Fellowship Program Structure
The fellowship program is structured so as to ensure that graduates are completely facile with all aspects of contemporary cardiology and are qualified to function as consulting subspecialists in any clinical venue.

Teaching Venues
Our fellowship programs offers experiences in a variety of teaching venues. These include University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital, UIC Research Laboratories, Jesse Brown Veterans Administration Hospital, Christ Medical Center, and the Cardiovascular Teaching Center.

Conferences
Within the Section of Cardiology, there are weekly conferences which, when viewed in their entirety, comprise a complete program of instruction in cardiovascular disease.
