At the University of Illinois at Chicago's National Center of Excellence in Women's
Health our mission is to develop a comprehensive program addressing cardiac health
throughout the entire lifespan of our women patients. Our specialists provide personalized,
high quality cutting edge care addressing the more difficult diagnosis, treatment
and prevention of heart disease in women. Thanks to our integral relationship with
UIC's National Center of Excellence in Women's Health and the Department of Obstetrics
and Gynecology, we are able to address the full range of the unique aspects of women's
cardiovascular disease including:
- Diagnosis, prevention and treatment of Coronary Artery Disease in Women with Microvascular
Angina
- Alternative therapy for prevention and treatment of heart disease in women
- Rheumatic and Congenital Heart Disease Diagnosis
- Treatment of pregnant women with heart disease including arrhythmias, congenital
heart disease and coronary artery disease or heart failure
- Hypertension in pregnancy and pre-eclampsia
- Genetic Counseling for pregnant women with heart disease
- Diagnosis and treatment of fetal arrhythmias
- Contraceptive care and counseling
