Endocrinology Section Seminar Series

Purpose: Endocrinology Section Seminar Series is a program designed to increase knowledge and improve patient care by updating section attendings, private endocrinologists on a wide spectrum of endocrinology, metabolism, and diabetes-related problems. Each month one conference is held in conjunction with the endocrine programs at John H. Stroger, Jr.-Cook County and Rush University Medical Center. 1. List current recommendations and guidelines for management pertinent to the presented case.
2. Discuss emergent information that will influence the treatment options used.
3. List the indications and contraindications of drugs used for the treatment of specific endocrine malady.

When: Every Tuesday - 1:30-2:30 pm
What: These lectures cover a variety of topics related to endocrine basic knowledge, clinical skills, procedures, laboratory data, radiological reports and fine needle aspiration interpretation, and board preparation. On a monthly basis two additional conferences are held, Basic Science Review and Research-In-Progress are attended by both fellows and faculty members.
