Purpose: Endocrinology Section Seminar Series is a program designed to increase knowledge and improve patient care by updating section attendings, private endocrinologists on a wide spectrum of endocrinology, metabolism, and diabetes-related problems.  Each month one conference is held in conjunction with the endocrine programs at John H. Stroger, Jr.-Cook County and Rush University Medical Center. Please refer to the schedule below for location information.

Objectives for Endocrine Grand Rounds -  Upon completion of this program participant should be able to:

  1. Improve knowledge and understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of endocrine disorders.
  2. Recognize innovation in diagnostic approaches to endocrine-related problems.
  3. Understand new approaches to management and treatment of endocrine disorders.

Objectives for Case Presentations -  Upon completion of this program participant should be able to:

        1.      List current recommendations and guidelines for management pertinent to the presented case.
        2.      Discuss emergent information that will influence the treatment options used.
        3.      List the indications and contraindications of drugs used for the treatment of specific endocrine malady.

Fellowship Core Lectures

Where: Section of Endocrinology Conference Room, 835 S. Wolcott, Room 612C

When:  Every Tuesday - 1:30-2:30 pm

What:    These lectures cover a variety of topics related to endocrine basic knowledge, clinical skills, procedures, laboratory data, radiological reports and fine needle aspiration interpretation, and board preparation.
