Benya Lab Research Videos

All videos are downloaded as QuickTime files, each of which ranged between 1 and 10 MB in size. QuickTime can be downloaded for free from Apple.

Video sets currently available include the following:

293 Cell Videos
(supports our Data published in J. Cell. Physiol. 2004; 199:77-88).

Caco-2 Cell Video (supports our Data published in Am. J. Physiol. 2005; 288:G1274-82).

ICAM video: Two videos are shown: one of Caco-2 cells post wounding in the presence of rabbit anti-human IgG antibody (Control Antibody Video), and one of cells similarly treated but in the presence of monoclonal mouse anti-human ICAM-1 IgG antibody (ICAM-1 Video).

Confluent Caco-2 cells do not express GRPR or ICAM-1, but both are rapidly up-regulated post-wounding. Note that whereas control antibody has no effect on Caco-2 cell migration into a gap (or wound) created by a sterile razor blade, ICAM-1 antibody progressively attenuates this migration with increasing ICAM-1 expression.
