William Galanter, M.D, Ph.D.

       

 

 

Dr. Galanter is the Medical Director of Clinical Information systems at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His informatics work and research centers on using clinical knowledge embedded software to decrease medication errors and improve care. He also serves as chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for the University Medical Center and is a member of the Walgreens Health Initiative Formulary Committee. He is also an active clinician and educator with emphasis on teaching evidenced based medicine and analysis of study design. 

His papers look at experiments using clinical decision support to decrease medication errors:
