Standardized Patient Schedule     

As part of your clerkship in Internal Medicine, you will be required to attend a standardized patient session with 3 cases pertinent to Internal Medicine. The standardized patient session will be mandatory, but will not contribute to your grade in the clerkship. Your attendings, site directors, and course director will not have knowledge of your score.

The experience will be composed of 3 cases. You will be asked to perform a history & physical on each patient after reading a short description of the patient. Afterwards, you will take a short quiz regarding the patient and pertinent medical conditions. You will get feedback from each standardized patient regarding your performance. At the end of the clerkship you will receive a confidential letter describing your performance and how the rest of the students in the clerkship performed.  The standardized patient experience will take place at the Clinical Performance Center (CPC) at the University of Illinois. Below is a list of students and the dates and times at which their session is scheduled. You will be excused from your clinical responsibilities for this session. The sessions will last roughly 3 hours.
