The Oncology Center, which is located in the north tower of the UIC Outpatient Care Center, offers state-of the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology and drug therapies, and a faculty of world-renowned physicians and scientists. To ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive clinical treatment and advanced therapies, the Oncology Center is home to:

  • Gynecology Oncology
  • Hematology/Medical Oncology
  • Radiation Oncology
  • Surgical Oncology

Integrated, multidisciplinary programs are established for a variety of cancers, including those of the brain, head & neck, esophagus, lung, prostate and genitourinary system, female urogenital system, breast cancers, sarcomas, childhood cancers, lymphomas and leukemias.

Comprehensive Care

We believe in the concept of “total” cancer care for the patient and family, utilizing major forms of treatment such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.  Other essential services such as a pharmacy and laboratory are also located in the Center for our patients’ convenience.  In addition, we ensure that patients have access to adequate nutritional, emotional, and social support - help at home and other services that are necessary for people who face a diagnosis of cancer.
