Conference

This page is the future home of Conference Corner, an area on UIC EM’s website where residents can find conference schedules and line-ups in addition to password protected archived lectures.

A weekly core didactic conference is held every Thursday from 7 am until 2 pm.  This time is protected time, and all residents are excused from clinical duties to attend conference, even when they are on off service rotations. Between 7 am and Noon activities include faculty lectures and M&M s which are presented by PGY3 chiefs. In addition there are periodic skill stations, small group learning, Simulated Patient Encounters and Oral Board review. Time is protected until 2 pm where residents are encouraged to participate in independent or group study before heading back to their clinical responsibilities.
