Welcome to the University of Illinois at Chicago Residency Program in Emergency Medicine!
 
The University of Illinois Medical Center is located in the heart of Chicago next to the nation's largest medical school. Our residency program also has major affiliations with two outstanding Chicago-based teaching hospitals: Mercy Hospital Medical Center and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Our program has been active in teaching superior Emergency Medicine physicians for three decades.  We have Alumni in all 50 states and have been actively training the future teachers and administrative leaders in the field. Our faculty are well renowned nationally and internationally. We have outstanding training fellowships in Medical Toxicology, International Medicine, and Ultrasonography. Our Program is very student and resident friendly and pride ourselves in having a small town feel in a big city setting. We serve a very diverse "melting pot" patient population and it is our mission to provide medical care to those who are less fortunate. When you have completed training with our EM Program, you will be well prepared to pass your Emergency Medicine Boards and ultimately practice emergency medicine anywhere in the world.
