- SCORE study. A randomized trial to compare the efficacy and safety of intravitreal injection(s) of triamcinolone acetonide with standard care to treat macular edema associated with central retinal vein occlusion and branch retinal vein occlusion. Co-investigator, University of Chicago, 2004-present.
- INSPIRE. Protocol 06-102. A randomized, double-masked, placebo, controlled, parallel group, multi-center, dose-ranging study of denufosol tetrasodium (INS37217) intravitreal injection in subjects with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Co-investigator, University of Chicago, 2004-05. Principle investigator, 2005-present.
- Allergan (Posurdex). A six-month, phase 3, randomized, sham-controlled trial (with six-month open-label extension) to assess the safety and efficacy of 700 ug and 350 ug dexamethasone posterior segment drug delivery system (DEX PS DDS applicator system) in the treatment of patients with macular edema following central retinal vein occlusion or branch retinal vein occlusion. Co-investigator, University of Chicago, 2004-present.
- Alcon C-02-60. An evaluation of efficacy and safety of posterior juxtascleral administration of anecortave acetate for depot suspension (15 mg or 30 mg) versus sham administration in patients at risk for developing sight-threatening choroidal neovascularization (CNV) due to exudative age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Co-investigator, University of Chicago, 2004-present.

- Eyetech (LEVEL Study) A phase IV, open label, multi-center, trial of maintenance intravitreal injection of Macugen (pegaptanib sodium) given every 6 weeks for 48 weeks in subjects with subfoveal neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) initially treated with a modality resulting in maculopathy improvement. Principle investigator, U Chicago, 2007-present.

- Genentech (NVG) An open-label, phase I/II, randomized, prospective, double-arm unmasked pilot study of the activity, efficacy and tolerability of ranibizumab 0.3 mg intravitreal injection as compared to ranibizumab 0.5 mg intravitreal injection for the treatment of neovascularization of the iris and neovascular glaucoma. Co-investigator, U Chicago, 2006-present.
- Genentech (DME, FVF 4168g/4170g) A phase III, double-masked, multi-center, randomized, sham-controlled study of the efficacy and safety of ranibizumab injection in subjects with clinically significant macular edema with center involvement secondary to diabetes mellitus. - Novartis (DENALI) A 24 month, randomized, double-masked, controlled, multi-center, phase IIIB study assessing safety and efficacy of verteportin (Visudyne) photodynamic therapy administration in conjunction with ranibizumab (Lucentis) versus ranibizumab (Lucentis monotherapy) in patients with subfoveal choroidal neovascularization seconaary to age-realted macular degeneration.
