The department's library facility and its services (including Medline literature searches) are available to area ophthalmologists as well as staff members, and alumni for educational and research purposes.

Since the library was formed in 1970, it has continued to expand its collection of scientific journals and textbooks in basic science and ophthalmology. This expansion includes the purchase of all newly published books in ophthalmology. The library has subscriptions to more than 130 ophthalmology and other medical journals; these are converted each year to hard-bound volumes. An additional 400 volumes were acquired in 1985 from alumni members who donated parts of their collections on retirement from practice.

Donations to support the Library in the form of volumes or financial contributions are greatly appreciated. Please contact Margaret Chervinko to arrange for a donation.

The library is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

For faculty members - submit your most recent publications, lists, copies, reprints to the library for inclusion to the publication database.
