Oculoplastic FellowshipOculoplastic Fellowship in Diseases of Eyelid, Orbit, and Lacrimal System; and in Aesthetic Eyelid and Facial Plastic SurgeryThe department offers a two-year fellowship in diseases of eyelid, orbit, and lacrimal system; and in aesthetic eyelid and facial plastic surgery. The fellow is hired as a faculty member at the instructor level and works closely with the Department's full-time faculty. Requirements\ResponsibilitiesThe fellow participates in Dr. Putterman's office two days a week. Two half-days a week the fellow assists Dr. Putterman with surgical patients. The fellow participates in clinic and in surgery two days a week at The University of Illinois. Facilities\Surgical OpportunitiesThe fellowship is based at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The fellow participates in clinic and in surgery two days a week at The University of Illinois and satellite clinics. The fellow is responsible for inpatient consults and assisting residents in clinic/procedures for oculoplastic issues. The fellow covers oculoplastic trauma call for The University of Illinois. Dr. Putterman's patients are seen at his office. Surgery on his patients is done at an outpatient surgery center and at St. Joseph Hospital.
