Electrophysiology (ERG) Service

This service tests rod and cone function in the central and peripheral retina to provide information on the diagnosis and prognosis of chorioretinal disorders, such as retinitis pigmentosa, Usher syndrome, stationary night blindness, cone dystrophy, Stargardt disease and inherited macular degeneration. The Electrophysiology Service also provides genetic counseling for patients with these diseases. Electrophysiology testing methods include electroretinography, electro-oculography, dark adaptometry, color vision testing and both static and kinetic perimetry.
