Directions

The UIC Eye Center is located in the West Side Medical Center District, one mile west of the junction of three major
expressways: Kennedy (I-90), Eisenhower (I-290), and Dan Ryan (I-90-94).

Directions via car

• From the north, take I-90/94, Kennedy Expressway, to West I-290, Eisenhower Expressway.

• From the south, take I-90/94, Dan Ryan Expressway, to West I-290, Eisenhower Expressway.

• From the west, take East I-290, Eisenhower Expressway.

• Exit the Eisenhower Expressway at Ashland/Paulina Street exit.

  • Turn south on Ashland Avenue.

  • Turn West on Taylor Street. The main entrance to EEI is on Taylor Street.

Parking
Parking is available on Wood Street, just south of Taylor and also at the corner of Taylor and Paulina.  See the "P"
symbols in the map below.

Directions via CTA elevated train
Take the 54/Cermak train to the Polk Street stop. Walk west on Polk Street to Wood Street.
Walk south on Wood Street to Taylor Street. Walk west on Taylor Street.
The Eye and Ear Infirmary is located at 1855 West Taylor Street.  The Lions building is located at 1905 West
Taylor Street (use the East side enterance).

Directions via CTA bus
Take the # 37 Sedgwick bus, or the # 9 Ashland bus to the Taylor Street stop. Walk west on Taylor Street.
