GME Contract Starting Dates - Reminder

This is a reminder of an issue that we discuss periodically at GMEC meetings, and to which all have agreed to adhere. | ||
|
|
|
|
|
Although July 1 doesn't always fall conveniently on a Monday, nevertheless our GME Resident Agreements ("Contracts") still contain a July 1 starting date for most programs. | ||
|
|
|
|
|
Some programs have opted to begin one week early (Internal Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Otolaryngology, Urology, some Med/Peds and some IM/EM), and one (Ob/Gyn) begins two weeks early. The starting dates for those programs will be either June 24 or June 17, respectively. | ||
|

|
|
|
Please remember that we don't "float" the starting dates to the closest Monday every year. | ||
