Dear Program Directors: |
As you may be aware, we have purchased a new resident tracking software package, New Innovations, to replace several obsolete systems within the Graduate Medical Education arena. In addition to resident tracking, this software will be used to generate the resident budget, the invoices for resident billing, and the data for the Medicare cost report, and the evaluation component will replace the current web-based evaluation system. |
A team originating from the GME Office will be working closely with your program directors and coordinators over the next few months to set up and implement the new software. The implementation effort will include extensive information-gathering, scheduled and ad hoc meetings, and intensive training sessions by representatives of the software provider. Our goal is full implementation by January 1, 2007. |
Please note that participation of all residency and fellowship programs in the use of this new software system is mandatory. Your cooperation, and the cooperation of your program directors and coordinators, is anticipated and appreciated. |

Please feel free to call if you have any questions about this very important initiative. |
Sincerely, |
