http://www.acgme.org/ is the link to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. ACGME is a national organization that maintains standards and requirements for each residency training program. In order for a program to be accredited, it must apply to ACGME and be reviewed according to the standards set by the Residency Review Committee for its specialty. Their web site has a wealth of information, including a program director's orientation, a list of programs and their requirements, program information forms, outcome project information, etc. You MUST be familiar with the RRC requirements for your program, as well as the institutional requirements and the general competencies (see Outcome Project for more information). |
