| The Graduate Medical Education Operating Committee has approved a 4% increase in resident stipends for FY2009 (the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2008). The new stipends are: |

The reimbursement of dependent health insurance cost will continue as it was implemented effective July 1, 1999. A resident may select any health insurance plan offered by UIC, but any cost beyond the approved reimbursement amount will be borne by the resident. For Fiscal 2007-2008, the maximum reimbursement is $70.00 for one dependent and $101.00 for two or more dependents. (This is the cost of Unicare HMO coverage.) The actual FY09 reimbursement amount will be announced when the FY09 insurance plan costs are available.
