The UIMCC Teaching Skills Program for Residents
Dear PGY1 or PGY2 Resident,
Each year the UIC-College of Medicine conducts a series of teaching skills workshops for residents.  The focus of this program is on improving the learning experiences of our medical students.  Attendance is mandatory for all PGY1 & PGY2 residents.
You must attend one workshop of your choice during the PGY1 year and a second workshop during your PGY2 year.  The sessions are highly interactive and include opportunities for you to practice the new skills in groups of about 20 residents from different specialties and programs.  
Register for the workshop of your choice by sending an email to faculty_dev_dme@uic.edu.  The location for each workshop will be sent to you via email about a week before the scheduled date. Requests for registration at a workshop made less than a week in advance will be accommodated based upon space available. See Teaching Skills Schedule for the current academic year's schedule.
