Body Electric welcomes you to its on-line home.  This student-edited journal is published annually by the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, Department of Humanities.  It features writing and visual arts created by medical students, staff, and faculty at the college and associated institutions.  The journal has been published continuously since 1984 under the mentorship of Suzanne Poirier, Ph.D., Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities.

This site was designed and is maintained by Tristan Tamplin. It should be viewed using Netscape 3.0 (or higher), more than 256 colors, and a screen resolution of 800x600.  Use the toolbar at the bottom of your screen to navigate our site.  The functions of the buttons on that toolbar are described below.
