Salaries (2007-2008)
PGY 1: $42,960 annual / $3580 monthly
PGY 2: $44,880 annual / $3740 monthly
PGY 3: $46,800 annual / $3900 monthly
Education Allowance & Benefits
Covers educational purchases (e.g., books, meetings, journals, etc.) up to $600 per year for PGY 2’s and 3’s Tuition fee waiver for resident if enrolling in courses at UIC (i.e., School of Public Health, etc).

Health & Dental Insurance
Provided to resident and dependents at nominal monthly charge.
Malpractice Insurance
Covered at 100%.
On Call
Sleeping quarters and meal tickets provided at UIC and all affiliated institutions.
Sick Leave
Up to twenty-four (24) days per year.
Maternity Leave
May use a combination of sick and vacation leave for pre- and post-partum time off.
Disability Leave
Covers 60% of salary after 180-day waiting period; is convertible to an individual policy at completion of residency.
Uniforms
White coats provided and laundered free of charge.
Vacation
Four (4) weeks per year.
Holiday Float System
One-half of the residents work a 6 DAY PERIOD while the other half has this period off. For the next 6 day period, the roles reversed.
