Welcome to the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at University of Illinois, Chicago

The cardiothoracic surgical faculty perform all aspects of surgery related to the thorax and heart. This includes adult cardiac surgery, pediatric cardiac surgery, minimally invasive, robotic and general thoracic surgery.

In addition, active and productive research is carried out by members of the faculty, including studies focused on myocardial protection, cardiopulmonary preservation, and lung cancer genetics.
