Clinical responsibilities: 

• First line contact for referring physicians & patients who are referred for general and minimally invasive surgery
• Facilitate & expedite clinical appointments for these referred patients and obtain appropriate medical records for consulting surgeons
• Co-ordinate & schedule general and minimally invasive surgical cases with surgeons and operating room.
• Co-ordinate and follow-up diagnostic tests & pre-operative test and review/discuss with respective surgeons
• Forward appropriate clinical notes to referring physicians and facilitate communication between consulting surgeons and referring physicians
• Provide Pre-op education, Post-op follow up & discharge plans appropriately for general and minimally invasive surgical patients
