LIVING DONOR ABDOMINAL ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION: STATE OF THE ART
June 20 - 21, 2008
Sorrento - Italy
The conference is a joint effort between the University of Arizona, the University of Chicago Medical Center, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. The program will be co-chaired by Rainer Gruessner, MD, Giuliano Testa, MD, Enrico Benedetti, MD, and Jacques Pirenne, MD. The purpose of the event is to gather renowned specialists from around the world
to evaluate advanced techniques and share the latest information, with special attention focused on living donor abdominal organ transplantation.
The site of the 2008 meeting is the perfect seaside escape. A splendid oasis of peace overlooking the Bay of Sorrento, the town has been a popular
vacation retreat for centuries. The charms are many, from the picturesque streets of the old city adorned by patrician villas to the Marina Grande, a traditional fishing harbor and popular destination for a stroll. A cliff-top setting, an imposing cathedral in the main piazza, a Franciscan church with a distinctive 13th-century cloister, and a charming, flower-filled town make Sorrento an ideal European destination.
