Life Long Learning Day has become an
annual tradition at the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs.
It's a day to return to school and learn from faculty, practitioners,
and fellow alumni about current topics and skills pertinent to the
fields of planning and public administration. Please join us and your
colleagues for another enriching day.
Participants are eligible for 5.5 CPDP Credits

8:00 a.m. Breakfast, Networking, and Registration
9:00 a.m. Overview of current budgeting practices, financing tools, and debt options
10:15 a.m. Workshop on prioritizing capital projects for fictional community based on feasibility and needs, then creating financial plans*
12:00 pm. Working lunch: participants present financial plans to public finance experts and village and city managers. (Lunch included)
1:00 p.m. Moderated panel discussion and Q&A session on the nuts and bolts of capital budgeting, and the community decision making process
