The Alumni Association at UIC presents several different awards to outstanding alumni, students, faculty and friends. Presented annually at the Commencement ceremony, the Alumni Achievement Award and the Distinguished Service Award are the highest awards that alumni can receive from the Association.

Students, faculty and friends of the university are recognized by the Constituent Leadership Award, the Alumni Humanitarian Award, the Lou Liay Spirit Award, the Loyalty Award, the Student Leadership Award, the UIC City Partner Award, the UIC Flame Award for Teaching Excellence, the CUPPA Alumni Appreciation Award, and membership in the Activities Honorary Society.
