This presentation will report on research concerning the use
of community structures of positive cultural socialization practices in domain
specific classroom teaching and learning. It will review data from this ongoing,
two year curriculum intervention that is taking place in Chicago High School English
Classrooms.
Yolanda J. Majors is an Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education,
where she focuses her research on adult/adolescent literacy, curriculum design and instruction, and social
justice education. |
