In November 2011, Julie Burros, Director of Cultural Planning for the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, gave a talk at Great Cities on the City of Chicago's efforts to create a new cultural plan for the city. The process is underway; City Hall is now soliciting ideas from the public via four town hall meetings this month and more neighborhood meetings and focus groups this spring.
