Successful Program Planning and Evaluation for Nonprofit Organizations

Successful Program Planning and Evaluation for Nonprofit Organizations introduces the fundamentals of how to incorporate effective program evaluation into the development of a program. The course teaches participants how to create measurable objectives, aligned with the program goals and the organization’s mission, how to track these objectives throughout the program year, and how to write evaluation reports to funders.

This five-week course includes the following modules:

  • Introduction to Evaluations
  • Program Design for Evaluation
  • Logic Models
  • Data Collection and Selecting an Evaluator
  • Putting it all together

Special features of this course include: links to useful Web sites on program evaluation, guest lectures from experts in the field, and hands-on exercises using your organization’s current programs.

Class size is limited to 25 participants.

Learning Objectives

  • The skills to plan programs with evaluations built in from the onset
  • An understanding of the various data collection methods used in evaluations
