Offered by the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, the Certificate in Nonprofit Management is the longest running online non-credit, nonprofit management program in the country. Since 2000, students from across the country and around the world have come together in a stimulating environment to learn the principles of managing an effective nonprofit organization through online instruction and interaction with other nonprofit practitioners and expert faculty.
The CNM program provides a comprehensive suite of non-credit courses designed for individuals working in—or with—the nonprofit sector. You can take just one course or multiple courses, depending on your learning and career goals. By completing any six of the courses you will earn a noncredit Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
You can choose from 15 courses and we realize that's a lot of options. To help develop your educational plan, we've developed suggested "course clusters", each of which is designed for people in certain situations—new nonprofit board members, for example, or people transitioning from a for-profit job to a career in nonprofits. Each course in the list is designed to enhance your knowledge and build on previous learnings to get you where you want to go. Learn more about the CNM courses and suggested clusters.
