Operations Management for Nonprofit Organizations

Following a discussion of the role of program planning within the broader scope of strategic planning, participants will explore the cyclical steps of a program planning process from initial concept to implementation to evaluation. Drawing on their own experience in the workplace, participants will explore the key characteristics of an effective manager, best practices for effective team building and conflict resolution methods

This intensive five-week course explores the following:

  • Overview of operations management
  • Program design and evaluation
  • Quality management
  • Managing staff
