Johanna Nyden is a second year student in the Masters in Urban Planning and Policy program in the UIC College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs, specializing in economic development and physical planning. She has been working at UICNI since April 2005. Before attending UIC, Johanna worked with a non-profit organization conducting transportation and land use advocacy around regional planning efforts in northeastern Illinois. Currently, Johanna is working on the UICNI newsletter as well as a project analyzing business districts in the Pilsen neighborhood, a project funded by the Ford Foundation.
