Xin Li, is currently working on UICNI initiated and Ford Foundation funded Pilsen Project, actively involved in planning with community youth project and the designing of a Mexican style plaza. Born and raised in Shanghai, China, he got a bachelor's degree in urban planning in Tongji University, Shanghai, China. With the desire of experiencing different culture and life style, he came to the country and UIC in Fall 2002 and started to pursue his master's degree in urban planning policy. Besides physical planning and urban design field, he is also very interested in urban economic development and chose it as his second specialization in the program. Xin enjoys being in the Great City Institute and Neighborhood Initiative family where he made a lot new friends and learned a lot from various projects and symposia.
