Adam Kader is a second year student in
the Masters in Urban Planning and Policy (MUPP) program
in the UIC College
of Urban Planning and Public Affairs, specializing
in community development. He is particularly interested
in particpatory planning, public space, and community
organization practice. Adam's undergraduate degrees are
in anthropology and Spanish, with a minor in gender studies.
His undergraduate research focused on indigenous labor
and womens' movements in Latin America and Latino Chicago.
Adam's work experience has been in adult ESL instruction.
As a new RA at UICNI this year, he is currently working
on a project to create a zocalo in Pilsen, as well as
coordinating the Organizer Learning Network.
