Project Description
Through this partnership, two community technology centers (one in Pilsen with the Gads Hill Center and the other in the Near West Side at the Westside Employment Education Center) were equipped with computer workstations to enable these sites to deliver computer training and Internet access to the communities. UIC faculty, staff and students provided technical support and assistance. At the two sites, residents will have computer and Internet access for job search and homework, help with distance learning opportunities and language skills, ACT/SAT preparation, college application assistance, employment skills training and professional development.
