Project
Description
This grant will enable UIC and Instituto Del Progreso Latino
(IPL) to use Internet and computer technology to enhance and expand
the network of education, training and employment services they
and supporting community partners have established to provide
educational and career advancement opportunities for residents
of these communities. In seeking to establish a CTC to serve Pilsen,
UIC and IPL have the following goals: 1. Expand access by community
residents to high quality educational, job preparation, placement,
and career advancement services; 2. Use computers and the Internet
to enhance instruction in the educational and job training services
IPL provides to community residents; 3. Expand community residents
access to information on education and training resources, and
job and career opportunities.
