Pedro Noguera & Waldo Johnson will be discussing their new work on black and Latino men and boys November 17-18, 2011 at a public lecture and policy workshop. Pedro Noguera is the Peter L. Agnew professor of Education at New York University and the Director of the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education. His new co-edited volume "Understanding and Responding to the Disenfranchisement of Latino Males: Invisible No More" is forthcoming this fall with Routledge. Waldo Johnson is associate professor at the University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration and previous director of the Center for the Study of Race, Politics and Culture (CSRPC). His most recent book is an edited volume published with Oxford entitled "Social Work with African American Males: Health, Mental Health, and Policy."
