| February 28, 2006 CUPPA International Lecture - March 8th As part of the CUPPA International Initiative I would like to invite you to an International Lecture on 'Urban renaissance in the UK - is it happening?' by Martin Boddy, Dean of the Faculty of the Built Environment, University of the West of England. Bristol. It will take place at 4pm on Weds 8 March in the GCI Conference Room and will be followed by an informal reception. I attach a flyer giving more details. It is possible that Ruth Fincher, Dean of the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Melbourne, Australia will be a discussant (tbc) In any event this promises to be a stimulating lecture. In discussion we will explore what lessons may emerge from the UK experience for US urban policy. Expect Martin to give a more critical analysis than the
one provided by Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott at our City Futures
