BE PRESENT AND DRESSED
BY 9:45 A.M.
All degree candidates and CUPPA faculty must be present, dressed
in academic regalia, and ready to assemble for the processional
by 9:45 a.m. on Saturday,
May 6.
Dressing areas will open at 9:00 a.m. in the Cardinal Room
adjacent to the Illinois Room on the 3rd floor of the Student
Center East
CAPS AND GOWNS
Academic regalia will be available for purchase at the Student
Center East Bookstore beginning April 17. The base cost (excluding
sales tax) for regalia is as follows:
Master’s: $49.95 PhD: $79.95
If you're eligible to attend this year's commencement ceremony and plan
to
attend, please see http://www.vcsa.uic.edu/MainSite/departments/commencement/caps_and_gowns/
for instructions on how to purchase a cap and gown. You **must** purchase
a cap and gown before the event. When purchasing a master's gown, be
sure to clearly convey your degree title (i.e., MPA or MUPP) to Bookstore
staff.
- MPA candidates and graduates should receive a Peacock Blue hood
and tassel.
- MUPP candidates and graduates should receive a Wedgewood
Blue hood and
tassel.
Hint: Peacock Blue is the brighter of the two. Wedgewood Blue
has a "dusty" appearance.
All PhD candidates
wear the same color regalia, regardless of major.
Caps and gowns will
go on sale at the UIC Bookstore on 17 April 2006. See http://www.uicbookstore.org/ for
their hours of operation.
