CUPPA Publications Receive Awards of Distinction
CUPPA received an “Award of Distinction” for both "CUPPA Magazine" and "Values in Action" in The Communicator Awards 2007 Print Media competition. The Communicator Awards is an international competition that honors outstanding work in advertising, public relations, corporate communications, graphic design, and identity. Entries to the competition are judged by industry professionals who look for work that exceeds a high standard of excellence and sets a benchmark for the industry. CUPPA Magazine, published twice a year, showcases the research, education, alumni, students and friends of CUPPA. Each issue features one of the college’s research centers or academic programs and includes an in-depth interview with an alumnus from Public Administration or Urban Planning and Policy. Regular departments of the magazine include Advancing CUPPA, which looks specifically at CUPPA development and fund-raising; Research Center, Faculty, and Unit updates, which look at current news and events of each; Class Notes and News, which cover student news, alumni updates, and the CUPPA Alumni Association; and Perspectives, which offers a unique way to look a particular issue or person affiliated with CUPPA. Values in Action, CUPPA’s latest brochure, sets out the College’s mission statement and summarizes each of the seven CUPPA 2010 strategic plan core values. In relation to each value the brochure profiles different members of the faculty and tells the story of how CUPPA is putting these values into action both in the classroom and in engagements with communities in Chicago, across the country, and abroad.
