From Public Administration Student Association Public Service Chair: Jeanne J. Chiu

On Saturday, June 13, I will proudly serve my community at the 16th Annual Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon. I am one of the 8,000 volunteers who have committed to making Chicago a better place by painting, planting, building and beautifying schools across the city.

Together, Serve-a-thon volunteers will help 30,000 Chicago students succeed by transforming their schools into vibrant places to learn and grow. Volunteering is always more fun when we do it together, and as a Team Captain, I am trying to recruit as many volunteers as I can to serve alongside me. Please join my team today and volunteer to make Chicago a better place!

Serve-a-thon is also the largest fundraiser for Chicago Cares, an organization that strengthens our community through 200 volunteer programs every month. No gift is too small for the city's largest day of service, so please consider any donation you can make.

I am very glad that I was able to get a registration fee waiver for this event through some inquiring. The registration cost is usually $30 for each participant but now you can all attend this event for FREE when you join our team! The nonprofit waiver code is NP09. If you enter that when you register, the fee will be waived from $30 to zero.
