The CUPPA-AA gives graduates of the University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs a chance to stay in touch with the college, network with other alumni, and improve the educational experience of current students. Founded in 1997, the CUPPA-AA is very active in the local and campus communities. We invite all alumni of the UIC Urban Planning, Public Administration, and Public Policy Analysis programs to join! Please join us and your colleagues for another enriching day.

The CUPPA Alumni Association plans regular social networking events throughout the year.

Capstone Course Projects
The MPA Program is seeking capstone projects for upcoming semesters. The Capstone Course, introduced in 2006, allows students to apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge to a "real world" project. Past projects have included the development of a proposal for a records management office at Cook County, the creation of job descriptions for positions in the Deerfield Police Department, and the design of an information management system at Erie Settlement House. The program is always looking for new agencies with which it can partner on future Capstone projects. If you are employed with an agency that might appreciate student collaboration, please contact Sean Kennelly, Assistant Director at 312-996-2160 or sean@uic.edu.

What You Can Do For Us?

Serve on alumni panels for current PA students
PASA (Public Administration Student Association) regularly organizes alumni panels to discuss careers and contemporary issues in PA. These events have been quite successful over the past year and current students would like PASA to host more events. Please contact Sean Kennelly, Assistant Director (312-996-2160 or sean@uic.edu) if you would like to participate in upcoming alumni panel series events

Serve as guest speakers in PA classrooms
Alumni are a valuable resource for faculty who sometimes ask graduates to give guest lectures on their area of expertise. Please contact Sean Kennelly, Assistant Director (312-996-2160 or sean@uic.edu) if you would like to participate in an upcoming Alumni Class Speaker Program.
