Program Benefits
By offering this program online, UIC’s Department of Public Administration aims to provide an accessible program for working professionals. At a total of 12 credit hours, even part-time students can quickly complete the e-Government certificate. Additionally, working students benefit from the scheduling flexibility which online and blended formats provide.

A wide array of public administrators can benefit from the UIC e-Government certificate. Students with technical backgrounds can benefit from project management and policy knowledge while students with management backgrounds are provided with an overview of the various technologies and their applications in government. Students can tailor their coursework by choosing any three of five certificate courses. Further, courses may be completed in any order to earn the certificate.
