- Quality Instruction - PA Recognized as Top-Ranked Program
In the 2008 rankings of graduate programs in public affairs by U.S. News and World Report, UIC’s Master of Public Administration program ranked 8th nationally in city management and urban policy and 27th nationally in public finance and budgeting. Overall, UIC ranked 41st, up ten slots from 2004 and placing UIC in the top 15% of programs nationally. UIC’s program is tied as the top-rated program in Illinois. Click here for more information
- Diverse Experience – The MPA Program Grows in Enrollment, Scope and Stature
Beginning with the 2009-10 academic year, the MPA program has added a concentration in nonprofit management. Students in the program can choose this or any of five other areas of concentration including public management, financial management, information and performance management, survey methods, local government administration.
- Versatile Careers – New Certificate Program in e-Government
Beginning in the fall of 2009, the department will offer a certificate program in electronic or e-government. Participants in this program will gain the knowledge and skills needed to utilize new information technologies for the purpose of enhancing citizen access to government information and to improve government operations.
